Abraham Solomon Baylinson (Moscow 1882-New York City 1950) framed modernist oil on canvas painting of a nude woman seated in front of an elaborate tapestry. The piece is signed by the artist in the lower left corner 'A S Baylinson' and dated 1947.
Baylinson was a Russian-American painter who was active in the early modernist movement and studied at the Art Students League of New York, the National Academy of Design and the New York School of Art.
